Release6 Update4:
Please note that RadialWebServer will break if it finds files other than the expected ones in the Radial folders and probably the Wave and spectra folders as well.
To fix, delete any RDLm_XXXXX_2011.png files in the MeasPattern folder and in the Archives folder as well; be sure not to save SeaDisplay png files into the radials folder. The problem here is not so much that it's a png file but that RadialWebServer tried to parse the file name and did not get the date stamp it expected.
Release6 Update3:
Known issue with Update3:
There's a high chance that the file transfer will pickup some of the radials that don't contain all the CSS that they could have. This may cause an early total vector. Our file transfers and combine will retransfer the newer radial and re combine the total, but I don't believe the National Network is that smart and might end up with not the best radial and total. I do know that if a site stops contributing due to comms down and then later recovers (8 hour; not sure the time limit), that the National Network will not include the recovered site-WR.
Release 6 Update 1
Released Sept 1, 2009
Release 6 known issues (pre-Updater1):
- When upgrading from previous Release6 installer, if the MapDataBase installer is run first followed by the “RadialsApps” installer, the map database may be removed, requiring a second running of “Install MapDataBase”.
-
-If “ShortTime” radials are enabled in the SeaSondeRadialSetup GUI, an Archivalist task must be added to manage/archive the radials in the .../Data/Radials/RadialShorts folder.
-
-If “push” scripts are installed on the remote/radial site, an Archivalist task must be added to manage/archive the “Exch” prefix FileExchangeLogs in the .../Logs/FileExchangeLogs folder.
-
-Archivalist will not automatically write the needed /Archives to the path when external drives are plugged in. The problem can be corrected by manually creating the folder “Archives” on the CodarArchives external drive when it is first plugged in.
Release 6 is not compatible with OS X 10.3.x (Panther) and has not been tested with Snow Leopard (10.6.x)
-
-Updating Tiger to 10.4.11 or Leopard 10.5.6 recommended
-
-SpectraToRadial 10.7.7 (R6U1) and earlier limited to processing 70 range cells.
-
-New MapDatabase required for R6 SeaDisplaySetup program.
Release 5 Update 4 can only update previous install of Release 5 or Release 5.1(with Updater1) or Release 5 that has been updated with Updater2 or 3. It should not be installed independently as a stand alone version. Past issues with Update 3 or earlier versions, that have been corrected in Update 4.
- R5 versions of SeaDisplaySetup will not work with new R6 MapDatabase files.
Archivalist pre-v11.0.8 (Combine and Radial)
Symptoms: Versions prior to v11.0.8 can create an issue where the boot disk fills up w/o explanation. The folder disk-usage tally will not match disk capacity.
Cause: This may occur when an archival drive is not attached and a second and/or third archive volume
“/Volumes/CodarArchives or /Volumes/CodarArchives2” is created.
Fix: In the Finder window, select Go-->Go To Folder. Enter "/Volumes" in the box. Delete “/Volumes/CodarArchives and .../CodarArchives2 ” if present. The folder “CodarArchives” on the boot disk /CodarData should not be deleted. FOR TSUNAMI SOFTWARE ONLY: Edit the ArchivalistTsunami.plist Task 20 and change it to /Volumes/CodarArchives2/Archives.
Systems affected: Observed on systems running pre-v11.0.8 Archivalist on 10.4.11. Unconfirmed with Leopard 10.5.x.
RadialAdjuster
Symptoms: Suffix box selection/change doesn’t work
Fix: Update to RadialAdjuster (dated June 23, 2009) Download: RadialAdjuster_Update
